The terms and conditions apply to all business transactions carried out by us A1Showplates.com, hereafter referred to as the 'Company'.
The person who is applying for these bespoke goods from us the 'Company' will hereinafter be referred to as the 'Purchaser'
Your statutory rights are not affected. It is the sole responsibility of you the Purchaser to ensure that all the correct details are entered onto the Company internet forms and submitted or given to the Company's representative at the time of purchase. The Company's representative will use standard phonetics to refer to combinations requested by the Purchaser. Section 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (Statutory Instrument 200 No.2334) no cancellations are accepted once your order has been placed be that by internet, telephone or through the mail. Subsequently there is no 'cooling off period', the transaction cannot be reversed and no refund can be given. Therefore It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure that all details are entered onto Company Internet forms and submitted correctly. Any amendments requested once an order has been received shall be charged for. In no circumstances shall the Company be made responsible for any wish by the Purchaser to cancel the agreement. In such cases where any payment made shall be refunded in full, provided that the failure is through no fault of the Purchaser but by the Company. The Company's liability is strictly limited to a full refund only and no claims for damages; interest on monies paid or any other expenses shall be entertained. Whilst every attempt is made to ensure the fastest possible dispatch of goods, the Company cannot guarantee any specific time period for the full transaction. The Company cannot accept responsibility for delays or errors caused by the postal system, third party carriers and electronic mail. Any problems or issues with an order once delivered the Purchaser must inform the Company within seven days of receipt. Any issues should be reported to us before the fitting to a vehicle. Once fitted the customer has accepted that the showplate is acceptable.
The Company manufactures Showplates only. These are manufactured and supplied for 'off road' use only, rally days, car shows, exhibitions and use on private land where the law does not apply. Due to stringent restrictions of trade placed upon the Company by the DVLA, all show registration plates will be sold to the Purchaser on the basis of being for show use only and the Purchaser may risk prosecution if the show plates are used on the UK highway. No verbal conditions or guarantees expressed or implied shall have effect on these terms and conditions unless written and initialed by one of the Directors of the Company. In any term, provision, covenant or condition of this agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable; the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected, impaired or invalidated. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in respect of the purchase. Every effort is made to ensure that the material shown on this web site does not cause offence to any individual or third party. If there is any material on this web site that does cause an offence to any individual or third party then the Company welcomes that the individual gets in contact and we shall the consider removal of the offending material. This agreement will be governed and constructed in accordance with English Law each party thereto submits to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
The company will replace any goods that are damaged in transit or do not meet the quality standards that we set. If the purchaser has received damaged goods or goods that do not meet their expectations please send an email through to the company with photos. The purchaser must not fit any damaged or goods they are not happy with to any vehicle, in doing so means the purchaser accepts the quality of the goods and no replacements or refunds will be issued. Any returns made will be at the purchasers own expense as the company will issue refunds/replacements on sight of photos. All plates are quality checked before leaving our premises.
All orders are despatched by Royal Mail. Orders placed before 1pm will be despatched on the same day . Orders placed after 1pm on a Friday will be despatched on the Monday after (unless its a bank holiday, then it will be the Tuesday). If you need your item sent to an alternative address, you must add the address to your PayPal account. Packages delivered by the Royal Mail will not be considered as 'lost' for a period of 15 working days at which time a replacement will be sent out.
COPYRIGHT – All the logos, brands and product names are the property of their respective owners, and are offered only as a convience. A1Showplates.com is a company separate and distinct from the companies who own the logos that are on our website. No guarantees are given or implied as to the accuracy of any of the logos or to the colour accuracy used. Before the Purchaser attempts to purchase a show plate containing a logo, the Purchaser must first receive the permission of the holder of the copyright or trademark of the chosen logo. The purchaser then agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the company for any liability incurred as the result of the purchaser's unauthorized use of material contained in the show plates, including but not limited to the use of logos in the violation of any right of the trademark or copyright holder of such logos. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will remove your logo immediately from this site if you do not wish your logo displayed.
